Outreach and Enrollment Specialist - National Louis University

As an Outreach and Enrollment Specialist I you will be responsible for supporting all recruiting activities while providing all prospective students with a high-touch holistic customer-focused experience through the enrollment pipeline. As a successful candidate, you can be described as dedicated to supporting students through the college access process. You are energetic and passionate about working with a diverse student body that includes many first-generation students. Additionally, you are committed to building authentic relationships with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., student, parents, and your NLU colleagues) and have a deep seeded belief that all students have the right to a high quality college education.

This is a full-time position based at the Chicago campus. It will require frequent evenings and weekend hours as well as local travel.

In this role, you will:

  • Build relationships and act as the primary point of contact for high school staff to build knowledge of NLU community and generate inquiries.
  • Attend career and college fairs, family nights, and community events themed around post-secondary enrollment
  • Present at senior seminar presentations and host high school table visits to provide detailed information about NLU programs and admissions process.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities for recruitment growth.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of NLU’s enrollment process and timeline.
  • Communicate, both orally and in written form, our admission requirements, program offerings, basic financial aid requirements, and scholarship opportunities with any prospective students as well as stakeholders.
  • Support individual student appointments and group admissions events to guide prospective students through the process of becoming a student at National Louis University. This includes assisting in preparation and hosting of onsite admissions days, admitted student days, summer orientation, and summer melt events for prospective and incoming students.
  • Accurately document and record each contact using the CRM system to ensure a smooth transition of applicant data.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Access to reliable transportation is required
  • Ability to travel extensively (locally throughout the greater Chicago-land area including suburbs) and work extended hours and weekends on short notice as needed is required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in a sales environment
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Technology proficient; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of social media tools such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter is preferred
  • Experience working with data, use of a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) and SIS (e.g., Banner) preferred
