Position Title: Manager of Partnerships

Reports to: Associate Executive Director of UtmostU @ the Comer Education Campus

Status: Full-Time

UtmostU: UtmostU is the innovative college persistence and success initiative founded in 2012 on the Comer Education Campus. Serving a predominantly first-generation student population, the Manager of the UtmostU Network works with partner institutions serving hundreds of students in support of their pursuit of a college degree and career. Today, the UtmostU student population is predominantly alumni of the Comer Education Campus. Going forward, the organization plans to scale UtmostU under a new organizational entity and structure, extending its reach far beyond the campus, and seeks a Network Manager with the skills to help execute the ambitious growth.

Comer Education Campus: With a comprehensive approach to education and youth development, the Comer Education Campus is devoted to guiding young people to and through college and into adult life. The campus constitutes a unique partnership between Gary Comer Youth Center, Gary Comer College Prep, Gary Comer Middle School, and the college success initiative UtmostU. The campus serves over 2,000 youth from across Chicago’s South Side, offering out-of-school time enrichment, academic enhancement, and college success programs. Position Essential Functions and Responsibilities
In close collaboration with the Associate Executive Director:

·         Lead the UtmostU Network, guiding partner schools and community-based organizations through the UtmostU student success model, including student on boarding and continuous engagement

·         Manage UtmostU technology tools, including utilization and upgrades to the Success App and Salesforce platforms

·         Coordinate Key Performance Indicator Survey data analysis and ongoing improvement with external partners, including Tufts University’s Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development

·         Review data results and action plans with Alumni Coordinators to help maximize student support resources

·         Coordinate summer credit recovery coursework with Upper Iowa University

·         Facilitate student incentive system with the finance department and Paychex software

·         Support special projects as assigned

·         Abide by established organization policies and procedures


Qualifications:

·         Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage outcomes-driven results

·         6+ years of experience in the college admissions / college success field

·         Demonstrated propensity to build effective student and adult relationships

·         Flexible schedule with ability to travel throughout Chicago

·         Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication (written and oral) skills, with a strong attention to detail

·         Competency with various software programs and an ability to manipulate and analyze data effectively

·         Demonstration of cultural competency and dedication to working with the students, families and community members throughout the UtmostU Network

·         Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
